So I decided to put up 2 this week. Both are ACEO's. I like both of them and couldn't decide. I went to Michael's Craft Store yesterday. Big mistake. I always end up spending tooooo much money there. I was poking around and saw some water soluable crayon pastels...who knew. And of course the moment I got home I had to play with them and here's what I ended up with. It's the water soluable pastels & ink. It's what I call "happy art". I needed some happy art today.

I like your "happy art" it did the trick for me. The pink background is pretty too! I like your Saint, very angeliclu handsome face ---and I love Michaels...I know, i am with you i always spend way tooooo much money there...! have a great friday! xo
I love the angel. Pastel are so much fun to work with. They are my favorite medium. :-)
I love happy art! It's so relaxing and freeing. I have just purchased some soft pastels and am having a blast with them! I was thinking of picking up some pastel pencils for more detailed work. I usually go to Hobby Lobby but I may have to take a trip to Michaels to see what they have to offer.
Interesting information about Raphael. After spending months at the hospital and days at Hospice with my boyfriend, I have come to realize that nurse's are angels themselves. It's nice to know they have a patron saint all to themselves.
I like them very much and wish I could draw/paint small. You've done a great job with both of them and especially Archangel Raphael. Nice work.
Such amazing detail for such a tiny little piece! I'm in awe,,,
Happy Paint Party Friday!

I love happy art! These are both beautiful. I love reading about the archangels. They intrigue me. Happy PPF! :)
Hi Joann, the are indeed happy art, Love them both and have fun with your new supplies. I am trying to stay away from Michaels.
How lovely to have new supplies to play with . I love your archangel and flower. HPPF! ~Theresa
Both are very pretty, Joann! And interesting points about the art supplies and the archangels!
Great to see you back at the party!
I love happy art. Your new purchases sound wonderful, I like 'water soluble', sounds so forgiving.
I can see where you had a problem picking just one, they are both great. :-)
I love them both, Joann. Wonderful Spring, and of course you know I'm an angel lover, lol! Raphael is one of my favs =)
I've been staying away from Michael's too, but going to have to replenish some supplies soon ;) Kathryn
Your art definitely makes me happy!
(After painting my very first ACEOs this week, I have a new appreciation for working so small!)

Well contrary to what is believed to work much harder to large sizes small. I love the archangel.Saludos desde España
I love your paintings. I always come out of Michaels or AC Moore with more then I went in to get!
And by the way one of my favorite words is Panache!
Those darn 40% off coupons! It would be fine if I only used the coupon and left but that never happens. I love the water soluble pastels, they are some of my favorite supplies. Your colors are so vibrant, just love your pieces.
Beautiful...they are both gorgeous..wonderful work!!

Love the Raphael...and thank goodness for those %40 off coupons or lots of us would be broke!
Great job! I will have to try pastels one day. Interesting info on the archangel too. Happy PPF!
Happy Art is the best, isn't it?
New supplies are always FUN! I like your new pieces...cheery :)

Both very lovely although I have a sweet attachment to the Archangel Raphael.
About supplies, after joining this party I now have this urge to buy more paints and inks and so much more....happy addiction.
