This weeks sketch comes from my entry into the 2014 Sketchbook Project. Of all the themes on the list, I chose FOUND. So my book is a collection of pencil sketches of things I found in different places.The sketch is of a beautiful blown glass perfume bottle on my dressing table.
The Sketchbook is just about ready to mail off. The deadline is 1/15 so I've got to finish getting all the sketches scanned so I can mail it off.
If you haven't heard of the Sketchbook Project, you do a sketchbook, mail it back and then it goes on tour. After the tour it resides in Brooklyn NY. Everytime someone views it you get an email telling you when it was viewed. You also get an artist page on their site that keeps track of all the projects you've been involved in. I just do the Sketchbook Project. The last book I did was in colored pencil. There are writing projects and other interesting programs on their site. This is absolutely cool, Joanne! I started to do this Sketchbook Project several years ago but it just didn't work out. I was still going through a major change in my life and dealing with so much. This is great and I look forward to seeing you fill the pages up with your amazing artwork! :)
